Patrons Needing Special Accomodations

To make arrangements, please contact the Union Avenue Opera Box Office 24 hours in advance at 314.361.2881. Wheelchair accessible seats are available on the first floor of the theater only and access to the theater is available off the Enright Street parking lot through the Cast/Crew entrance.

Balcony Seating is accessible via the stairs at the back of the theater. There is no elevator access to balcony seating. Patrons who cannot descend the stairs in the event of an emergency are encouraged to sit on the main floor.

Late Seating Policy: As a courtesy to our patrons already seated and the performers, latecomers or persons who have left the theater after the performance has begun will not be seated until there is an appropriate break [determined by UAO Management] or until intermission, if applicable. Latecomers will be seated in the closest vacant seat (not always the best available seat), at an appropriate break, until intermission. UAO accepts no responsibility for the inconvenience and can make no exceptions for late arrivals. Refunds or exchanges are NOT issued to latecomers. When traveling to the opera please allow ample time for traffic delays, road construction, and parking.

Lost Tickets

Call the box office at 314.361.2881 and we can reprint your tickets and have them waiting for you at Will Call on the night of the performance. Reprinted tickets will not be mailed.

Group Rates

A “group” consists of ten or more people, attending the same performance on the same date, seated in the same price class. Group Rates are not available at the door and must be pre-ordered. Contact the box office at 314.361.2881 to inquire about Group Rates.

Children

We encourage parents to introduce their children to opera when they think the child is ready for the experience. We expect that parents will take into account the subject and nature of the show in question and will be considerate of the other patrons seated near them. Union Avenue Opera requires that all children have a ticket for admittance into the theater and are required to sit in their own seat, not on a lap, to avoid interfering with the view of others. Children and infants under the age of 5 are not allowed in the theater, except at approved performance, education and outreach opportunities.
