We’re moving to Tuesdays in 2025

Experience the magic of Union Avenue Opera’s 2025 House Concert Series—three intimate evenings of exceptional music in unique St. Louis homes. On March 18, dramatic soprano Kelly Slawson, violist Victoria Voumard, and pianist Jonathan Heaney perform Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder, Kurt Weill selections, and “In questa reggia” from Puccini’s Turandot in the grand Compton Heights home of Marjorie Smith. April 15 takes us to the University City home of Dr. Richard and Mary Ann Shaw for a showcase of CRESCENDO! Scholarship winners, along with bassoonist Donita Bauer, and pianist Jonathan Heaney. This varied program celebrates 11 years of CRESCENDO!, UAO’s flagship young artist initiative. The series concludes May 20 at the stunning Engine House #1 home of architect Marion B. Smith. A UAO string quartet joins mezzo-soprano Debra Hillabrand for Jake Heggie’s Camille Claudel: Into the Fire and Puccini’s Chrisantemi.
