Donizetti’s sparkling romantic comedy follows the earnest Nemorino as he pins his hopes on a mysterious “love potion” to win the independent Adina. Overflowing with wit, charm, and irresistible melody, L’elisir d’amore delights from start to finish. The opera features one of the most famous arias ever written, “Una furtive lagrima,” alongside buoyant ensembles and playful musical surprises that celebrate love in all its awkward glory.

L’elisir d’amore is presented in Italian with projected English supertitles.
